Poetry as inspiration

On an online course with Cumbrian poet Geraldine Green she gave us a list of interesting lines from published poems as inspiration for producing a poem of our own. We were supposed to choose one line but I picked 5 lines from different poems and produced the following: Everything splashes with the colour of poems.

Why not try this yourself: choose a poem you like and write in response to a word or line from the poem, or the whole poem. For example, you could try Freewriting, or you could write about how the word/line/poem is relevant to your life right now.
