Do you buy e-books?

Do you buy e-books? What might make you buy a 99-pence e-collection of short fiction? Good cover image? Title? Genre? Reviews?

What genres do you like? The reason I ask is because I’m thinking of publishing (mostly for fun) an e-collection of short fiction and I’m wondering if anyone out there in the ether will be interested in paying 99p to buy and read it.

Happy Sunday 🙂

A lot depends on word count. I have bought collections of short stories that were in aggregate novel-length (60,000 words plus) for that and more. Less than 40,000 words or so I usually won’t buy at any price, unless it is an author I am already familiar with.
