The Twelfth Day of Christmas

On the Twelfth Day of Christmas my true love gave to me…
12 loads of washing
11 rooms to vacuum
10 shelves to dust
9 shirts to iron
8 half-burned candles
7 extra pounds
6 empty bottles
5 broken resolutions
4 chocolate tins
3 piles of cards
2 bare trees
and a box packed with Christmas decorations.

  1. This made me smile, Carol! And you have a whole year in which to train your true love in the domestic arts of washing, vacuuming, dusting and ironing…
    Happy writing
