I recommend 2 kinds of freewriting – writing everything that comes into your head for 5 minutes with no stimulus to get you started, and writing for 2, 3 or 5 minutes using words or objects as inspiration. Write for until the time is up without stopping to think. Spelling, grammar and punctuation don’t matter at all. Just let your thoughts flow onto the page.

This sheet give some ideas for getting started with freewriting. Feel free to print off multiple copies but please don’t alter the sheet in any way.
